I understand from your signature that you Receipt date is 7/2/07. was your case transferred to Vermont or something and transferred back to TSC. Do you know what was the Receipt date mentioned in the Transfer Notice. I am just trying to guess when they may come to my case. My receipt date for 485 was from Vermont and is 7/31/07. But then it was transferred back to Texas and this has a Receipt date of 10/1/07. I am just trying to find out which Receipt date will be considered to pre-adjudicate my application. Thanks.
I do not know if USCIS is going with receipt date or any procedure. My Receipt date is June 27, 2007. Notice date is August 9, 2007. My case is not touched either till now.

Please read my statements properly. I have taught about 100 (the number of students in my last 5 classes were about 70, 30, 25, 25, 12). My colleagues have been observing the same issues for last 5-7 years when the number of students from India started to surge. The number 1000 is the estimate for over the 5 year period. Both numbers are conservative estimates.
and why, pray, does your esteemed school keep accepting students from these so called "sub-standard" colleges in india? i would say 5-7 years of observed emperical evidence calls for some substantial action on your and your school's part in black-listing these institutions........so, either:
1. you are blowing smoke through eveyone's a** here or
2. the school is greedy for tuition fees - proving an earlier contention made in this thread about it being all about money....
P.S - i am not from one of these schools so no personal stake!

He is absolutely correct. 485 Processing would start depending on RD (Receipt Date). But at the time of approval PD should be current and if it is current then the applicant whose RD (Receipt Date) is oldest would get the approval first.

I welcome your stickiness. This idea is not new to the forum. Go and search the threads. We have an active agenda of sending the faxes, writing LTEs, follwoing up senators and their offices after discussions, writing to news anchors, talking heads etc.

Good thing you are doing and not talking, but lot of members are giving good suggestions, like contacting Professors who attended the Hearing this morning in the judiciary commitee meetings. Isnt that a new idea that was brought about only today...
We need more ideas and more action as we go along.

Lets say out of 500K indians are 25%(atleast), so 125K, 1 year we get 7k visas based on country, so will it take 20 years for all July filers to get GC?????????????? We need major reform then, thats a total wait of 25 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not think CIS has that much smartness in them. Different sections seem to go about the motions on their own schedule. They seem to be an uncoordinated bunch so far.

Thanks 9Years for sharing the info. My I-140 was filed on Oct 20th under premium processing and still waiting for approval.
As next step, are you planning to do interfiling or wait and see if I-485 will be approved automatically ?

I know many of friends who use IV as recourse for NEWS but they don't register nor contribute. Even after multiple reminders and sarcastic comments they don't. I feel pity for them, they don't understand by registering and contributing they help them self and others. Shouldn�t we make IV a monthly subscription web site? That way we will have only serious members.
