GCTest and et al if you have really raised 600 $ talk to good lawyer to sure the hell out of USCIS for its un accountability. This EB3 - EB3 rift is not going to help anyone but only USCIS. Take a chill pill and think carefully who has screwed us most -- IT IS USCIS. If you sue USCIS for unaccountability, changing rules at will and worst of all racial discrimination or new term for country based discrimination -- it is history waiting to happen.
There is no value or point in creating Eb3 - Eb2 rift. No category is better than either - all are equally and royally screwed by USCIS.

Scenario 1: Send these indiviudually (one per person).
Scenario 2: Send collectively a set of 10 backward clocks, with a greivance/protest letter , where as 10 represents month of October and signed by IV.
only 30 people have voted so far....and we are talking about organizing 70,000 People.....Most of the users come here to get the latest news related to GC and to get answers to their questions....50% of users won't even log in to the site if they don't have any "URGENT Question" or "Need Help.."( I know that 50% of my friends don't log in to the site everyday) Type of questions to Post...I bet more then half of the users won't be aware of these efforts that we are trying to put in. I think we need to first inform everybody that IV needs theirs support. we should send emails to every users to come and check the site..

Didn't realise they now have a PERM backlog center. I thought baclkog centers were only for traditional and RIR labours, I guess there is no end to the circus of immigration life.
officially no PERM backlog center exist....but the way Atlanta is processing cases...i think we can call them the backlog center when compared to Chicago which is processing it in a week or two :-))

The report shows 144,000 PERMs between March 28, 2005 - June 1, 2007 (NOT between oct 2006- march 2007). That i sover a period of 2years and 4 months. This is not bad as we all are thinking

PERM is only for the Primary applicant. For I-485 every dependent of Primary applicant needs one separate application
Considering all these 750,000 I-485 filings in next 1 month sounds a reasonable estimate.

If you really want some justice, stand up and get counted by participating in this campaign. Else, Julu-Aug 07 filers, will keep waiting and will have to go through frustrating and agonizing wait for an uncertain period.

Actually, they asked for it because I only have 1.5 years of US experience. I arrived here in the US on June 2007 and applied for I-140/I-485 on July 2007 under Schedule A (LC exempt).
I showed my EAD valid until 2010 and USCIS FAQ showing I can renew it until I get my GC. I also showed I-485 receipt notice.
Anyway, I also got FHA loan at 4.5% fixed for 30 years.

Approach ur credit uniion. they will eventually sell ur loan to BAC or the big banks.
my friends were on H1. I was on EAD but all I had to provide was my credit score, 6 months paychecks, company history and indicate that my green card is in process. lender was happy that green card is in process. she got terribly confused when I mentioned LC, 140 and EAD. Be careful with words you use becuase the lender or anyone at walmart or honda are not that educated about the pains of GC process and not that they are bad and dont want ur business.
I am also not surprised on reading this thread because our local citizen friends (bankers et al) get pi$$ed off to learn that I dont have a green card and we own homes becuase we are perfect candidates to walk off in a foreclosure with nothing to worry.
on a serious note - if on H1 and no EAD. think twice before buying a house. Job Markets are becoming unfriendly for H1 holders.

Please read my statements properly. I have taught about 100 (the number of students in my last 5 classes were about 70, 30, 25, 25, 12). My colleagues have been observing the same issues for last 5-7 years when the number of students from India started to surge. The number 1000 is the estimate for over the 5 year period. Both numbers are conservative estimates.
and why, pray, does your esteemed school keep accepting students from these so called "sub-standard" colleges in india? i would say 5-7 years of observed emperical evidence calls for some substantial action on your and your school's part in black-listing these institutions........so, either:
1. you are blowing smoke through eveyone's a** here or
2. the school is greedy for tuition fees - proving an earlier contention made in this thread about it being all about money....
P.S - i am not from one of these schools so no personal stake!

c. March 2011 - Went for an Infopass Appointment (Useless in my opinion too) They said as your 140 is in TSC and 485 is in NSC that is why its taking time and they don't know how much more time will it take
d. April 2011 - Contacted Senator and got a reply that they have contacted NSC and will let us know their response as soon as they get one
e. Late April 2011 - Sent emails to NSC update, TSC update and TSC auto-current-date address
f. Early May 2011 - Contacted Congressman
6. Approval - Occurred the evening Congressman called NSC
a. Mid May 2011 - CPO email and cards within a week

There seems to be 2 different opions about the process after CIS has received hundreds of thousands of applications until Aug 17th.
1. Once received, CIS cannot sort out the applications according to PD, so only RD is important.
2. PD is still an important factor, so if CIS is stuck with tons of applications on their hand, they will prioritize them by PD, which means if you have PD Dec 2004 and RD Jul 25 2007, you will be approved earlier than someone with PD Mar 2005 and RD Jul 2 2007.
Greg Siskind, an immigration lawyer known to most folks here for his blog, says in his new FAQs that CIS should work on by PD.
I think that's a fair thing, but I'm wondering how they would be able to sort out the flood of applications. Any idea?
